FERRY GOOD FOR ALKO |
|||||||
Contrary to what our competition claim; Air suspension is available for the AL-KO chassis in the UK and has been since 2006, with many of our customers already enjoying the benefits of AS Air Suspension and the Al-ko chassis. The system is available for vehicles registered from 2002, up to today and including the new Al-ko chassis, produced in 2007, it is also available for both single and tag axle vehicles, so now everyone can enjoy the benefits: - • Boarding the sea ferries is no longer
a problem for the low chassis (the rear end of the vehicle is raised to
avoid the chassis making contact with
the ferry ramps, reducing potential vehicle damage). The overall driving experience of a vehicle equipped with AS Air Suspension is both reassuring and satisfying Our system is of principal design to fit the ALKO chassis. |
|||||||
The systems include: - Specifically designed brackets of steel construction (the expertise of Dutch engineering at its best) all brackets are either powder or zinc coated. The air springs/bags are able to bear up to 800kg each. The durability of the air springs/bags is such that they will often outlast other component items on any suspension system and therefore the springs/bags are guaranteed for 5 years. |

New
for 2010 a 50Ltr 12volt compressor which enables operation
of the system. As air pressure requirements vary with personal preference
and application. The beauty of the onboard compressor, allows you the
convenience of being able to adjust the vehicles ground clearance on the
rear overhang of the vehicle, what ever your suspension needs or requirements
are, you are in full control and all this can be performed from the comfort
of your seat. The two-gauge control panel, to operate the compressor, is normally fitted inside the cab area of your vehicle, although this is of personal preference, as it can be located almost anywhere inside the vehicle; something to consider for those wishing to have the ‘AS’ system installed. Operating is simple, with one switch to raise the air spring/bags and two push-in buttons to lower. The rear of the vehicle can be lowered at each side independently, or both at the same time. The pressure on the gauges is measured in bars (1bar = 14.7Psi) with a cut off limit of 8bar, so there is no fear of over-inflating. |
|||||||
| ‘AS’
air suspension maximises a vehicles carrying capacity within the GVWR, it is an auxiliary air suspension and must not be used to up rate the gross vehicles weight capacity. |
|||||||
One
of the best features of ‘AS’ air suspension is its ability
to compensate for off centre loads, as it enables you to have different
pressures in each air spring/bag.
‘AS’ air suspension is attached to the existing suspension, nothing is removed or altered and can be fitted to both single and double floor campers. |
|||||||
| The ‘AS’ air suspension system is the leader in auxiliary air suspension for the AL-Ko chassis and we at ‘AS’ are able to give you honest and expert answers, on our tried and tested system. | |||||||
